Namsos is a city city within the province of Trondelag, next to the mouth of the Namsen River. It has a population of 13,026 inhabitants and its average annual temperature reaches a whopping 5ºC. crazy. This city was founded in 1845 and houses made of wood predominate, which is why there have been several major fires in the area. More specifically, three fires, the first in 1872, which was caused because some young people were playing with matches; the second in 1897, for unknown reasons. And the third occurred during World War II, when the city was bombed by German aviation on April 20, 1940. Some of the most prominent sites in the area include the Namdalmuseet, the Kunstmuseet Nord-Trondelag, the Sorgjaeslingan, Lake Salsvath, the Norwegian Sawmill Museum and the Bjorumsklompen, among others.
